A number of variants of the German Steyr were produced throughout World War Two. The Kommandeurwagen, as featured in this 1/35 scale kit from Tamiya, was one of those variants, used to transport important officers and commanders. The Kommandeurwagen featured a distinctive rounded hood, all leather seats, and boasted an 85hp engine and could reach speeds up to 100km/h. The staff car was also fitted with a rear leaf spring suspension and a front torsion bar. When fully assembled, this 1/35 scale model measures 146mm long and 52mm wide
