The part nobody tells you about vermicomposting is that once you've got a nice bin full of castings, you've got to separate the castings from the worms and undigested stuff in your worm bin.
Well life just got a lot easier for you.
We've developed a worm sifter to take the mess and stress out of harvesting worm castings.
Our worm sifter is able to sit on top of a wheelbarrow or large mortar tray (not included). It also comes with 2 rolling screen boxes:
1/4-in for the most worm castings.
1/8-in for fine worm castings without losing those cocoons
To use the sifter, simply place your sifter frame on a wheelbarrow or mortar tray (not included). Choose your sifting screen and place it in the frame. Put about a gallon of vermicompost in your sifting screen and run the screen back and forth, disturbing the vermicomposting to allow the castings to fall below.
It's as simple as that.
These sifters are handmade by yours truly and my family, so we stand by our work!
